Upon request (thank you for your comments! It seriously means to world that you still enjoy reading my posts, despite my long absence) I have compiled a list of my favorite podcasts, from theology to politics, to writing and life hacks. Disclaimer! I am recommending these because they have encouraged, inspired or entertained me, not necessarily because my beliefs align with those of the podcaster. As a general rule, I will only recommend content that I respect and consider appropriate for any range of listeners. Now on with the show! 1. W H A T H A V E Y O U
One of my best friends recommended this podcast to me last summer and I've been hooked ever since. It is hosted by two sisters/moms/writers and they basically take you out for coffee to discuss life, theology, and living as a Christian in today's society. 2. R E L A T A B L E Allie Beth Stuckey has always been one of my favorite podcasters when it comes to culture, news, and politics from a Christian perspective. She does a wonderful job of delivering truth, hosts brilliant guests, and always ends on an encouraging note. 3. A G E O F M I N O R I T Y I was "introduced" to Jaquelle and her dad back when I was a member of the Young Writer's Workshop. Their take on theology and living for Jesus as a young person is challenging, refreshing, and entertaining. ;) 4. A L I S A C H I L D E R S I just recently started exploring Alisa's podcasts and really appreciate her take on answering "Progressive Christianity" and skeptical claims against the gospel from a Biblical worldview. Her thoughts are convicting and make you think, and I especially enjoy her in-depth study of "deconstructionism". 5. T H E K A T E & A B B I E S H O W This one is for writers! Hosted by two sisters (can you tell I like sisters?) who write two different genres, using two very different methods, and smother authors at any stage with encouragement and practical advice. (Disclaimer: I do not share their spiritual beliefs, so if that happens to come up in your first listen, take it with a grain of salt and move on.) ;) 6. D O H A R D T H I N G S Finally, a podcast from the team at The Rebelution! As a teenager, I stumbled across this site on my quest to become a published writer and found a treasure. I've been published a couple of times on their blog (and would love to do more. Any suggestions for what you would like to read?). This is a great resource for young people, and I highly recommend it. 7.. T H E C H R I S T I A N P U B L I S H I N G S H O W Another one for writers! Hosted by Thomas Umstattd Jr. this podcast is extremely informative and Biblically sound. I highly recommend this one for every author, no matter your skill level. 8. T H E M E L I S S A D O U G H E R T Y P O D C A S T I heard Melissa's name during conversation with a friend and looked her up out of curiosity. Since then, I have really enjoyed listening to her podcast where she tackles controversial topics from a Christian perspective. There you have it! These are a few of the podcasts I enjoy listening to (yes...there might be more...). What do you think? Do you have any favorite podcasts of your own? Drop them down below and I'll give them a listen!

Nita! Love this! (Alisa Childers in particular is amazing)! Dropping the first comment here! If you're at all interested in C.S. Lewis and the Inklings, listen to the Marion E. Wade Center podcast! Not only is it fascinating, but also very engaging and spiritually encouraging.
