My name is Anita. I am the oldest of ten children and a country girl who adores farm life, riding and training horses, pumpkin spice lattes, and my Savior Jesus. I was homeschooled from start to finish and one of the most important things it taught me is that learning never ends.
I also adore books - if you hadn't already guessed - and a few of my favorite authors are Elisabeth Elliot, Irene Hunt, Jane Austen, L. M. Montgomery, C. S. Lewis, and George Macdonald.
Ever since I first learned to read, books have been some of my best friends. I grew up reading anything from Nancy Drew mysteries to classic novels by Charles Dickens. From there my love of words only grew, but it wasn't until I was twelve when I finally embarked on the journey to write my first novel. Within that first story, however novice or cliché, I discovered a love of writing that I had never known before. By the time I wrote 'The End' I was hooked!
Having self-published two of my books for family and friends, I began looking further into the world of publishing and was overwhelmed by the immense amount of work it takes to be a writer! After discovering several wonderful resources, and meeting many authors and friends who have pushed me onwards, I have learned to develop my own writing style and have an understanding of exactly why I write and where I want to go.
I am now eighteen-years-old and have written dozens of stories, articles, and several novels. My dream is to one day be a traditionally published author, and until that happens, I'm living life to the fullest and using whatever spare time I have to write about it.
